In a meaningful celebration of Women’s Month, The Mandaue City Public Market Vendors Multipurpose Cooeprative (MAVENCO) conducted a two-day health outreach on March 24 to 25, 2026, focused on caring for and empowering women in the community. The activity was successfully held at Parkmall, Mandaue and was made possible through a strong partnership with Women of Mandaue Against Breast Cancer (W.O.M.B.). This collaboration played a vital role in bringing the program to life, combining shared advocacy, resources, and commitment to women’s health.
Through this joint effort, MAVENCO and Women of Mandaue Against Breast Cancer (WOMB) were able to provide free health check-ups, breast cancer screening, Pap smear tests, and vitamins to women who needed them most. The success of the event was a clear reflection of what can be achieved when organizations work together toward a common goal.
For many of the women who participated, the outreach was more than just access to free medical services, it was a rare opportunity to prioritize their own health. The breast cancer screening and Pap smear services, in particular, had a strong impact, highlighting the importance of early detection and preventive care. These services are often costly or inaccessible, making the initiative even more meaningful.
Participants expressed their gratitude not only for the services provided but also for the care and attention they received. The event fostered a welcoming and supportive environment where women felt valued and encouraged to take charge of their well-being.
