MAVENCO Reaches Out to the Ramon Durano Foundation Elderly Home

On August 24, 2026, the Mandaue City Public Market Vendors Multipurpose Cooperative (MAVENCO) brought more than donations, but it brought care, compassion, and a message that every elderly person deserves to feel remembered and valued.

As part of MAVENCO’s Gender and Development (GAD) initiative, our cooperative conducted a Donation Drive for the Ramon Durano Foundation Elderly Home in Guinsay, Danao City, focusing on the basic food and hygiene needs of the elderly residents.

The donation included essential food supplies and personal hygiene items intended to support the residents’ everyday needs and contribute to their comfort and well-being.

For MAVENCO, the activity is a reflection of what cooperation truly means. Beyond providing financial services to its members, the cooperative recognizes its responsibility to extend its spirit of service, solidarity, and concern for the community to those who are most in need. Helping does not always have to be grand. A simple contribution, a thoughtful gesture, or a few moments spent showing care can bring comfort and joy to someone who needs it.

Through our GAD initiatives and community outreach programs, MAVENCO continues to promote an inclusive and compassionate community where no one is forgotten, including our elderly.

This initiative is another testament to MAVENCO’s commitment to making a difference, not only through cooperative growth, but through service that touches lives.
