December 15, 2025 — MAVENCO reinforced its commitment to member empowerment by supporting DOLE Region VII’s First Market Retail (FMR) program, an innovative, market-based livelihood initiative for public market vendors in Mandaue City.

MAVENCO and Cambinocot MPC beneficiaries—thirty-seven (37) members in total received sari-sari store packages during ceremonies on December 12 and 15, 2025. The cooperative helped prepare MAVENCO recipients through training on bookkeeping, inventory management, and basic business operations, ensuring they were ready to manage their new ventures responsibly.

The MAVENCO awarding on December 15 was led by Assistant Regional Director Emmanuel Ferrer together with MAVENCO Chairperson Luisita Valdueza, and joined by representatives from the Mandaue City Government and PESO Office. MAVENCO officers and branch staff assisted in organizing and orienting members for post-award mentoring.

Through this partnership, MAVENCO affirms that livelihood is about capability, dignity, and sustainability, pledging continued guidance so every MAVENCO-assisted store becomes a stable source of income for vendor families.
