As part of its continuing commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace, MAVENCO Multi-Purpose Cooperative successfully conducted a Gender Sensitivity Training for its staff on November 24 and 25, 2025, with one batch trained per day.
The one-day training per batch was designed to enhance staff awareness and understanding of gender concepts, gender roles, and the importance of promoting equality and mutual respect in the workplace. The activity also reinforced MAVENCO’s adherence to Gender and Development (GAD) principles and its role in creating a safe and discrimination-free work environment.
The training was facilitated by Joabet Lugo, with Dondee Glenn Yuro serving as Co-Facilitator. Through interactive lectures, group discussions, and practical exercises, participants were encouraged to examine gender issues in the workplace and reflect on appropriate professional behavior grounded in respect and fairness.
The sessions provided staff members with opportunities to openly engage in discussions on gender sensitivity, stereotypes, and workplace dynamics. Emphasis was placed on accountability, inclusivity, and the shared responsibility of employees in upholding MAVENCO’s values.
