MYLAB Empower Hub, Entrepreneurial Skills Training

News & Blog

Few weeks after the successful entrepreneurial skills training, MYLAB Empower Hub took a significant step forward by conducting the actual production phase of the program with the help of the On-the-Job Trainees (OJTs’) and youth participants. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Business Development Center (BDC), reinforcing the program’s commitment to experiential and skills-based learning.

The activity involved group of youth participants who previously underwent training, allowing them to apply the knowledge and skills they had acquired in a real production setting. Through this hands-on approach, the learners were exposed to actual work processes, teamwork, and time management and key components essential to entrepreneurial readiness.

With the guidance and support of the Business Development Center, the youth engaged in the actual production of candles, dishwashing liquid, and fabric conditioner. The MAVENCO Staff enabled participants to follow standard procedures, observe quality control measures, and understand the importance of consistency and efficiency in producing market-ready products.

This phase of the program emphasized learning by doing, as participants transitioned from theoretical discussions to real-world application. The youth were guided through proper workflow, task delegation, and basic inventory handling, helping them appreciate how small-scale production can evolve into a sustainable livelihood opportunity. Although this initiative is new to us, we are continuously learning and improving in the development of our products. While the outputs may not yet be as perfect as we initially envisioned, we remain committed to maintaining quality standards and consistently enhancing our processes to deliver reliable and acceptable products.

Through MYLAB Empower Hub provided a nurturing environment where young learners could build confidence, strengthen their work ethics, and develop a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship. The experience also allowed them to see how collaboration and discipline contribute to successful production outcomes.

MYLAB Empower Hub continues to strengthen its partnerships to ensure that youth empowerment initiatives go beyond training and into practical application. By integrating actual production into its programs, the organization remains dedicated to preparing young people for future employment, entrepreneurship, and self-sufficiency.
