The 1st Tri-City Opening Salvo for Cooperative Month was successfully held on October 4, 2025, at the Hoopsdome in Lapu-Lapu City, marking a historic milestone for the cooperative sector in Mandaue City, Cebu City, and Lapu-Lapu City. Guided by the inspiring theme, “Cooperatives United in Purpose and Action, Sharing Prosperity to Build a Better World,” the event highlighted the shared mission of cooperatives to promote unity, collaboration, and community empowerment.

MAVENCO proudly participated with a 50-member delegation composed of the Board of Directors, management team, and staff. Their strong presence demonstrated the cooperative’s ongoing commitment to fostering solidarity and supporting inter-cooperative initiatives across the tri-city area.

Adding honor to MAVENCO’s representation, Ms. Harelvina Terando, Election Committee Officer, served as Mandaue City’s Festival Queen. Her participation brought pride to the cooperative and showcased MAVENCO’s active involvement in the broader cooperative community.

The Opening Salvo featured solidarity messages, festive performances, and various activities aimed at strengthening partnerships and celebrating the vital role cooperatives play in community development.
