On July 5, 2025, cooperatives in Mandaue City gathered to celebrate International Cooperative Day, a global event that highlights the spirit of unity, collaboration, and service to the community. The celebration was organized by the Mandaue City Cooperative Development Council (MCCDC) and was actively participated in by several cooperatives, including the Mandaue City Public Market Vendors Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MAVENCO).

As part of the program, a bougainvillea aftercare and clean-up drive was conducted along A. Soriano Avenue, showcasing the cooperatives’ commitment not only to economic empowerment but also to environmental stewardship and community development.

Our cooperative had 18 dedicated participants to the activity, contributing their time and effort in ensuring the success of the clean-up drive. Their participation reflected MAVENCO’s values of solidarity, social responsibility, and concern for the community.

This annual celebration served as a reminder of the vital role cooperatives play in promoting sustainable growth, unity among members, and a cleaner, greener environment. Through initiatives like these, MAVENCO continues to uphold its mission of making a positive impact beyond its business operations and into the heart of the community it serves.
