MAVENCO SWINE SUMMIT SOUTH 2026

“THEME: “Strenthening Resilience Sustaining Growth Amid Industry and Economic Challenges”

MAVENCO successfully conducted the Swine Summit South 2026 on August 15, 2026, at the Bonifacio R. Bacaltos Sports and Cultural Centrum (Sibonga Sports Complex), carrying the theme “Strengthening Resilience, Sustaining Growth Amid Industry and Economic Challenges”. The event brought together the BDC Department Team headed by Mr. Mark P. Salatan, Swine Technicians, Swine Monitoring Team and especially the Swine Financing members. The event was attended by members of the Board of Directors, including BOD Chairperson, Director Filipinas Arriesgado and BOD Members, Directors Reiliza Abellana, Minda Bestil, Judith Cabahug, Letecia Del Castillo, Luis Baguio and BOD Secretary Edna Bruce.

Representatives from the Promix also participated including Vice President Mr. Gerald Campos, Dr. Adovere Verdida, Dr. Rufino Ybanez, Promix Feed endorser Mr. Matt Monreal and the Operations Manager Mylora South Area Ms. Merlita Maglasang who shared valuable knowledge and insights relevant to swine production and industry development.

Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) was also presented by Mrs. Lolita Degorio, (Insurance Processor II and Cebu Acting Insurance Underwriter Team Head) and Ms. Jumabell Mahidlawon, (Claims Processor for Livestock). They provided important information on livestock insurance and available support for swine raisers and claims procedures.

The activity was attended by 150 Swine Financing Program members where 87 are female members and 63 are male members. The summit aimed on helping members and industry stakeholders strengthen their resilience, manage industry challenges, and provide opportunities for sustainable growth.
