The training was indeed very informative and was able to come up with new programs and activities that are in line with the GAD advocacy. In one way or another it has created an impact to the attendees and made them realize the importance of GAD within the Cooperatives.By the end of the training there were issues and ideas being raised during the workshop and this will be addressed by the MCCDC GAD Chairman, Mrs. Amodia as part of the improvement with the advocacy.Furthermore, the MCCDC were grateful to the facilitator for being so generous enough to impart his knowledge and skills on the conduct of the two-days seminar on Gender Awereness.

MAVENCO have once again fulfilled its mission, to be the catalyst of gender awareness among its members, the community and the younger generation of today. Last March 27 and 28, 2019, we conducted a two day Gender Sensitivity Training to 80 students at Mandaue Ciy Science High School. There were two sections of Grade 8 namely Mendel and Archimedes that participated the activity. The first day was participated by Grade 8, Section Mendel and second day was for section Archimedes. There were 40 participants for each session and each has their own unique way of sharing their experience on Gender and on growing up as a teen. Differences of Sex and Gender, Bullying, Dmestic Violence and Teenage Pregnancy were some important topics relevant to their age was presented. We were so honored and glad that the activity got full support by our very own Chairperson of the Education Committee, Dir. Josep Rubas, who shared the opening remarks for the two session. Our Very energetic and supportive CEO, also took charge in giving the inspirational message/closing remarks to the participants. He also led the giving of the certificates and giveaways. We also acknowledged the presence of our COO and Treasury head for the time they gave to visit the participants despite their busy schedule.

The two day training was indeed a success. MAVENCO would like to extend its warm gratitude to the teaching staff headed by Mrs.Crisenta N. Lotario their principal and to Mrs. Solitaire Caballes who arranged the schedule and gave the coop a chance to extend our advocacy to their students. The GST for Teens will still have a number of schedule to be conducted to different schools in Mandaue this year. The coop will not cease in sharing our advocacy and mission to the community. Until our next GST for Teens... MABUHAY ANG GAD AT ANG KOOPERATIBA!!!
